Hertfordshire Wedding Photography – Summer Wedding at Micklefield Hall
When Danielle and Luke first got in touch about their summer wedding at Mickelfield Hall I was over the moon. Danielle had contacted me as she had seen the photos of her cousin’s wedding that I had taken the previous year.
A couple of years prior to Danielle and Luke’s wedding I had shot a wedding at Micklefield Hall as a second shooter, so I was very much looking forward to shooting one of my own beautiful couples weddings at this stunning country venue.
Danielle and Luke were planning a gorgeous laid back wedding with sparklers to end the night.
Bride and Groom Prep
I started off the morning at Danielle’s parents house where she was getting ready with her five bridesmaids, one bridesman and her parents. When I arrived, Danielle’s dad was cooking up a huge fried breakfast for them all! What better way to start your wedding day.
While I was taking care of the bridal party, my second shooter was over at Danielle and Luke’s house shooting the groom prep, and it would seem collecting honey from their bees!
The Wedding Ceremony
The actual wedding ceremony was held at St Peter’s Church in London Colney. It was a really upbeat ceremony with lots of singing and ended with a confetti line that went all around the church.
Whilst the guests made their way to Micklefield Hall, Danielle, Luke and I took the opportunity to find some rural spots around the river for some couple’s portraits.
The Wedding Reception
The wedding reception itself was so relaxed, with canapés and drinks flowing on a gorgeous summers day. There were garden games and lots of conversations!
One of my most anticipated moments of a couple’s wedding day is the speeches. Danielle and Luke’s were emotional and full of laughter and love. It was clear they were a much loved couple.
Congratulations Danielle and Luke and thank you so much for making me a part of your wedding day!
