Clophill Centre Wedding Photographer – Helena and Lincoln
Humanist Wedding in Bedford
Helena and Lincoln got married last summer at the awesome Clophill Centre, which is a beautiful campsite in Bedford. It was such a fun wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
Helena and Lincoln were originally not my clients. Their photographer had gone into labour and I stepped in to make sure there day went as planned. The first I got to meet either of them was the morning of their wedding and they were such a lovely, welcoming couple!
The ceremony was a humanist service in the woods. The guests seated on hay bales, surrounded by bunting and fairy lights whilst one of the groomsmen played the guitar. During the ceremony they had all the guests pass their rings around to warm them. It was a beautiful way of involving everyone in the ceremony and such a personal service.
The reception was in a tipi at the venue. They chose Clophill Centre because it’s near their home and they could totally personalise it. It was a humanist, vegan wedding, which was completely different to anything I have photographed before. I love shooting different types of weddings. It’s so nice to see how people make their wedding their own.
They had a vegan ice cream van and vegan steaks for the wedding breakfast in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. They decorated the venue with tealights and bunting.
Helena and Lincoln’s wedding had such a chilled vibe and everything I love about weddings. Here’s their wonderful wedding!
